It's Friday, March 27th, 2020! It's time for another update from my "40 Pounds Down" Challenge.  With this challenge, I'll attempt to show you how to lose 40 pounds in 100 days.  Is it going to work? I have no earthly idea...BUT THAT'S THE FUN PART! The whole "Will I succeed?" or "Won't I?" gets me excited.

HOW TO LOSE 40 POUNDS IN 100 DAYS - Last Week

Last week I reached a low of 240 pounds (109.3kg).  You know when you step on the scale and just know? It was one of those weeks!
But how did I fare this week?

MY WEIGHT LAST WEEK (Day 20)

240 pounds = 109.3kg

40 POUNDS DOWN CHALLENGE - Where I'm At

Here are my Day 27 photos. Not much of a change in the last seven days from the looks of things. The part that bothers me most are my love rear love handles! But, I try to maintain realistic expectations. Those love handles will disappear as the weight and fat do. Plus, I have to keep in mind that it was more than six months of bad habits that got me here.  "Just stay the course, Donnie."

MY WEIGHT THIS WEEK (Day 27)

242 pounds = 109.8kg

Up 1.32 pounds (0.6 kg) from last week.

What's Going Well?

I'm sticking to my diet and exercise plan. While the scale is reading slightly higher than last week, I don't have any guilt. I know that I was just as disciplined with my workouts and food as I was at Day 20.

What's Not Going Well?

Confession time! The days when I haven't been scheduled to train at all, I've been sedentary as f%ck! That's something I'll have to pay close attention to.  While I don't need to be "on" all the time, I won't sit at my desk all day.  Even if I'm doing something productive, I don't think being sedentary all-day-long is a good idea.

How To Lose 40 Pounds in 100 Days - Next Week's Goal

I'm going to keep my goal similar to what is was last week. I want to see if I can break smash through my 240 (108.9 kg) pound floor to reach new lows.  How am I going to do that? I'll try making my days off from the gym a bit more active. Activity within reason of course, to stay mindful of my knees..
